Greenville’s Fine Art Center is a very unique and the first specialized arts school in South Carolina.
The Fine Arts Center provides advanced and comprehensive arts instruction to high school students who are artistically talented and would like to take intensive pre-professional studies.
All high school students can apply to the Fine Arts Center and are selected on basis of talent, interest, motivation and commitment to their disciplin.
Students are able to study theatre, dance, visual
arts, music, creative writing,
film and video production.
They attend classes at the Fine Arts Center five days a week, in the morning or afternoon, spending the remainder of their time in other academic
classes at the home high school.
Every year ca. 350 students attend the Fine Arts Center in Greenville and some ninety %
of that number go on to higher education.
